It doesn't take long to get back into the swing of things!  Getting up in the morning isn't as hard, and we're starting to hit our stride!

I want to take a moment and thank all of the people who made the start of school a success.  Thank you to the PTO Board for helping with Spirit Wear sales at Meet the Teacher.  Thank you to Kristi Condit and Abbe Timmons for heading up our spirit wear sales.  Thank you Brandi Robbins for her excellent work with Hospitality.  She has provided countless meals and treats for the teachers this week to help them feel appreciated by the Puster community.  Thank you Jenn and Mike Todryk of Armor Coffee for the coffee and fixings for Tears and Cheers! Finally, thank you to Megan Tiner of One Love Yard Sings for our Welcome Back sign!

The Fall semester is under way and fast approaching is our annual Ice Cream Social!  Get excited for the reserved parking and carline auction!  When I first came to Puster I wondered what the auction was all about.  Our VIP reserved parking spaces give you a guaranteed parking spot for any Puster event.  You can use your parking spot when coming up to the school for lunch with your kiddo, at after school events like Fall Family Fun Night, or for any music program.  Once you buy it, it's yours for the school year!  

Car Line is it's own coveted auction item.  Imagine having a guaranteed first spot in the carpool line every day.  Luckily, we have 2 guaranteed spots to auction.  No more waiting...zip in, pick up your kid, and zip out.  Both front and back carlines will have 2 spots available at the ice cream social.  Be ready to bid!

Now that we've talked about auctions, let's talk about Leopard Drive.  Brandon Nicolosi has a fantastic presentation about exactly why we fundraise.  I hope you take a moment to read through and see exactly what PTO does.

Currently, Leopard Drive is our main fundraising event for Puster PTO.  All donations contribute directly to the planned spending by the PTO to directly benefit Puster Families, Students, and Teachers.

For 2023-2024, we have allocated $53.46 in PTO spend per student.   

We appreciate donations in any value, but offer these acknowledgements:

$60 – Puster Supporter

$100 - Puster Advocate

$250 – Puster Sponsor

$500+ – Puster Benefactor

Any donations taken in above and beyond the Planned PTO Spend will be further gifted back to Puster in the form of Campus Improvements, including but not limited to, teaching supplies, AV equipment, technology enhancements, and playground enhancements and equipment.

The PES Yearbook committee would love to have your First Day of School photos! Please send to Pusteryb@gmail.com by August 30. 

Additionally, while completing your annual registration forms on PowerSchool, the default setting is to OPT OUT. If you DO want your child to appear in the yearbook, please be sure to UNCHECK this box.

Puster Elementary is a parent volunteer-friendly school! We hope you will consider being a room parent, chaperoning field trips, volunteering for recess and lunch duties, making copies for teachers, helping with tutorials, and choosing many other opportunities to help our students thrive. 

So that we can help establish our campus routines and rituals, parents are asked not to volunteer for the first two weeks of school, through August 18th. Please CLICK BELOW if you are interested in any volunteer opportunities! Those interested will ALSO need to fill out the mandatory Volunteer Application (a background check form) below. 

Your purchase of PES Spiritwear is an additional revenue source for budgeting the events and programs that enrich the student experience at Puster Elementary! The Puster PTO Spiritwear Page is under construction...stay tuned!...This site will be your main destination for Spiritwear purchases aside from special schoolwide events like Leopard Friday and Fall Family Fun Night.

Teachers and tacos unite! The Puster PTO provided our wonderful, deserving teachers with a Welcome Back lunch of Torchy's Tacos on the first day of school.
